Problem:
Reports printer in office isn't working.

Troubleshooting revealed the USB cable used to connect the printer was bad. After locating another one in the telecom/network closet, was able to install using Microsoft Universal drivers.
For the record:
Printer software could not be installed presumably because it was too old and the universal drivers provided with Windows 11work fine so while the printer will printer, very few options will be available if needed. Before dismissing old printer, check to see if Windows can provide a generic version that will work..
